Language pairs and decks

Each language pair, such as English ↔ Polish, is a separate set of decks. You can add your own pair and your own decks, choosing a theme with an illustration for each. The study direction — only from the foreign language, only into it, or both ways — is set separately in every deck.

Your own flashcards

Add a word or a phrase you want to remember, with an example, a note and the situation where it helps. Only you see your own flashcards, and you can study them right away. If you find a mistake in a built-in flashcard, you can report it with one button.

Flashcards from a file

In “My flashcards”, choose “From a file”, a deck and a TXT or PDF file, such as an article or a book chapter. An AI model suggests up to 20 words and phrases worth learning, each with an example from the text and, in a PDF, the page number. Select the ones you want to keep, fix them if needed and add them to the deck — they become your own flashcards. Suggestions similar to flashcards you already have are marked and unselected by default. In a subject deck, such as physics, the model suggests questions with short answers – one fact each.

A file can be up to 10 MB, and one round of suggestions covers at most 100 pages – for a longer PDF, enter a range such as pages 10–35. You can upload 10 files in 30 days; a file that could not be read counts too. The file's content goes to Anthropic's Claude model; we don't store the file itself.

Pronunciation in your browser

You can listen to the answer with a speech synthesis voice from your browser or system. The available voices depend on the device: some may lack a voice for a given language. The app first chooses a voice installed on your device, and you can pick another one in the settings.

Theme and language

The app has a dark and a light theme and a Polish and an English interface. Your choice is saved in your account, so it works on every device.
